Someone who comes pretty close is my mother. As to yesterday being Mother's Day, this post is dedicated to her!
My mom has raised me from a pup, always been at my side, and is the best mother/wife/grandmother/daughter/aunt/neighbor/visiting teacher around! Quite a few titles, huh?
One thing that really stands out is the last few years. With cancer treatments, she always went with me. She went to every doctor's check up and was there during every surgery.
During "round one," while having radiation treatments, it made my throat hurt real bad. All I could get down were Carnation Instant Breakfast drink mixes. We'd always walk Cake Boss around 10 pm and she'd help me and coach me as I'd take one sip of Carnation, a sip of water, then wait a minute, and do it again.
It must take a LOT of work to be a mother. But it also must be extremely worth it. She does a lot for everyone else, at home and at church and is extremely selfless. I am so impressed at all that my mom does. She is definitely one of my heroes.
Thank you mom, and mother's everywhere, for all you do. You truly keep the world running!
