My name is Erik Gray.
I love the outdoors.
I love the Book of Mormon. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love my Savior.
I love the temple.
I love photography.
I love adventures.
I think that I have a pretty good sense of humor.
I have had cancer.
I was diagnosed with Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma, salivary gland cancer, in December 2009. I have battling it off an on for the last five years. Through this battle I have had:
Radiation twice. 2010 and 2014.
Two rounds of chemo.
One bald head.
Numerous trips to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
Hardships, trials, sadness.
Blessings, triumphs, and knowledge of a higher, loving God.
For the umpteenth time, I am at a place that I didn't see myself at all six months ago. My plans have been changed, daily it seems like, many times.
BUT I have seen myself grow in the direction I am proud of. I have learned things about Heavenly Father, our Savior Jesus Christ, the Atonement, myself, and others that I wouldn't have learned without this last five years.
I didn't plan to live a life without a fibula, but I'm grateful that I'm loved enough to be given chances to grow.
